Group exhibitions are exciting and come with networking and the feeling of being a part of something. In this exhibition, I worked with art psychotherapist to compile an exhibition of works that we have created since qualifying last year. Next year we intend on fully realising Interplay as a concept and moving forward in to a more cohesive and interactive exhibition by using a theme or making a group piece. It was brilliant to have shown artwork together and see where everyone was at in their careers and art practice.
I now work as a full time art therapist in a rehab. Its hard work, I have had to delve into myself and explore my own insecurities about being a professional while still holding the emotional material of others. Processing this will inevitably have an impact on my art practice.
My next exhibition will be for the open studios for spike island. Its May day bank holiday. So far I am intending on showing two glitch videos, some found tarpaulin and clay sculptures.
